Tourist spot: Jeju Island

Jeju Island (Korean name: Jeju-do)
Jeju Island is an oval shaped volcanic Island of Korea. The volcanic activity made Jeju-do so that's why it is called “volcano museum”. Its extraordinary topography contributed to allow Jeju Island to register on UNESCO’s 3 fields of natural science. Once you see Jeju Island, you’ll fall in love with it.

 1. Soingook Themepark
Location: Seogwang-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea
Viewing hours: 8:30~19:30<summer season>, 8:30~17:30<winter season>
Admission fee: 5,000won<kids: 3~12year-old>
                         7,000won<teenagers: 13~18year-old>                        
                          9,000won<adults>



Explanation: In Soingook Themepark You can see 116 miniatures of World famous landmarks from 30 countries. The sizes of the exhibits were reduced at a fixed rate so their shapes remain the same as the original structures. There are miniatures of the Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House, Napoleonic Arc de Triomphe, taj mahal, Buckingham Palace, Egyptian pyramid. And there are also many Korean architectures. For example, Jeju International Airport, Seoul Station, the National Assembly building, Bulguk temple and Hwaseong Fortress.


















2.Cheonjeyeon Waterfall
Location: Jungmun-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea
Viewing hours: 8:00~19:00<summer season>, 8:20~17:30<winter season>
Admission fee: 1,350won<kids and juvenile: 7~24year-old> , 2,500won<adults> -personal rate.



Explanation: Cheonjeyeon Waterfall (not to be confused with the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall) is a three-tier waterfall located on Jeju Island. The falls are a popular tourist spot on Jeju-do. The waterfall is one of the three famous waterfalls of Jeju, the other two being Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Jeongbang Waterfall. Source: Wikipedia








 3.Manjanggul Cave
Location: Gimnyeong-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, Korea
Viewing hours: 9:00~18:00<summer season>, 9:00~17:00<winter season>

Admission fee: 2,000won


Explanation: Manjanggul Cave has lots of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars and cave corals.
Because of world sized cave It takes a long time to explore (about 2~3 hours). But it’s still a great cave to see the marks of volcanic activities.
